Why speaking volumes works

Speaking Volumes makes your donation of Christian books to public libraries go twice as far by offering to supply the books at 50% reduction off normal retail price.

We recognise the value of placing good quality Christian books where non-Christians can read them. We know that often people looking for answers in their life will not initially approach a Christian organisation. Christian books, covering a wide area of life issues, biographies, bible references and study guides available in a non-threatening environment may be a person’s first contact with the Christian Faith. Bookplates inserted with your church details will provide the reader with an opportunity to approach your church.

Your role in the placement of books allows your church or group to develop useful links in the community. With careful use of PR you will be showing your community your commitment to them. Placing children’s books into schools could open opportunities for your church to visit regularly for assemblies etc., or books into Care Homes can help follow up a monthly service you might run there.

Books placed in public libraries are read. Feedback from libraries report above average lending for our books. When Glasgow library surveyed usage of the books placed in their library they found they were borrowed for nine months of a year!

Libraries appreciate that speaking volumes has carefully selected appropriate books for public lending, often where they lack experience. speaking volumes also suggest relevant categorisation and provide book protectors so there is minimal work for library staff to do.
