About the UK Christian Book Awards
UK Christian Book Awards 2010
- The first award was held in 2000 and held annually until 2004 when it became biannual.
- The purpose is to promote what is best in Christian writing and to encourage the writing of Christian books.
- It is run by Speaking Volumes on behalf of the Christian Book Promotion Trust, a charity set up 40 years ago by Cecil Jackson Cole to promote Christian literature to an audience beyond the Church.
- The winning author will receive a £1,000 cash prize plus £500 worth of books to donate to a library of their choice.

Judging by our shortlist panel.
A shortlist of 5 books will be selected by our panel which includes:
Carolyn Armitage - a freelance editor, former Director of Religious Publishing at Hodder & Stoughton and author of four Christian books,
Phil Grant - former UK Director of CLC Birmingham with 30 years of Christian book selling
Guy Marshall - Christian bookshop manager and former Director of the Christian Booksellers Convention Ltd.
- January 2010-March 2010 Public voting on the short list
- Mid May 2010 (exact date to be advised) Presentation of the award at The National Christian Resources Exhibition, Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey.
